About Dng
|
|
On the 18 October 2014 the Veteran Unix Admins have released a communication: Shall we fork Debian?
DNG is the name of the first mailinglist after the debianfork declaration.
This was probably the last popular news hit and public outcry before the final vote for the Ian Jackson resolution. One last vote is standing between Debian and the systemd switch.
Following up to the result of this GR on the 19th November, we maintained our promise and forked Debian.
This mailinglist is published on the web and can be searched in public archives. Posting is limited to subscribers and subscription is free.
If you want to participate in this discussion space beware to respect the Netiquette Guidelines (RFC1855) and in particular the chapter 3.0 about One-to-Many Communication.
We apply backlog moderation the DNG list to avoid personal attacks and trolling: we still understand what frustrates many of us who struggled with systemd, yet our space is not intended for airing hate speech of sorts.
Please be respectful and focus your criticism on software, not the people writing it.
We don't disclose email addresses neither sell them to anyone. This service is provided as is, in the hope it will be useful but without any warranty. Anyone posting is the sole responsible for any information shared.
